Malaysian authorities are investigating the contents, and the containers remain at the port nearly a month after they were detained, Bloomberg reported.
The latest seizures follow Malaysia’s detention of another container bound for ‘Israel’ on August 7.
Malaysian authorities suspected that container contained weapons because it was destined for Elbit Systems, an ‘Israeli’ defense company.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said Malaysia would not allow the country to become a conduit for trade that could support or contribute to “the cruelty of the ‘Israeli’ regime.”
Malaysia has been among the countries to sharply criticize ‘Israel’ over its war on the Gaza Strip and has repeatedly called for an end to the violence and greater international pressure to protect Palestinians.
