‘Israel’ bans entry to 12 British citizens, including MPs

'Israel' said on Tuesday that it will deny entry to 12 British nationals -including former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn and 10 other members of Parliament- in retaliatory measures following London's decision to lead international sanctions against 'Israeli' West Bank settlements.
The entry prohibitions target prominent pro-Palestinian figures, left-wing lawmakers, and environmental politicians who have advocated for trade restrictions and accountability regarding 'Israeli' settlement policies.
Among those on the list is Jeremy Corbyn, an Independent MP who co-founded the left-wing political movement Your Party alongside MP Zarah Sultana after breaking away from the Labour Party.
Targeting lawmakers
The 12 individuals placed on the refuse-entry list comprise 11 sitting members of the UK Parliament and one legal professional:
- Your Party: Jeremy Corbyn MP and Zarah Sultana MP.
- Labour Party: Diane Abbott MP, John McDonnell MP, Richard Burgon MP, and Naz Shah MP.
- Green Party: Co-leader Adrian Ramsay MP, Carla Denyer MP, Sian Berry MP, Ellie Chowns MP, and Hannah Spencer MP.
- Legal Sector: Fahad Ansari, a British-associated human rights lawyer and director of the organization Riverway to the Sea.
The measure formed part of a broader diplomatic counteroffensive launched by Tel Aviv, which also included ordering the closure of the British consulate in Jerusalem following UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband's announcement of an import ban on goods produced in illegal West Bank settlements.
