An ‘Israeli’ drone struck a car west of Gaza City on Sunday, killing a father and his daughter and wounding six others.

The vehicle caught fire shortly after the strike as emergency crews rushed to the scene.

The victims, identified as Yousef Akila and his daughter Wafaa, were killed while driving on Al-Nasr Road, a main route used daily by hundreds of displaced residents.

According to family members, Wafaa had been on her way from her first day of school when the strike hit.

The attack is the latest violation of the ceasefire that took effect on Oct. 10, 2025. More than 1,300 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since then, according to Gaza's Health Ministry, including at least 301 children.
