US President Donald Trump on Wednesday suggested renaming the Strait of Hormuz the “Trump Strait” following recent US military operations in the Persian Gulf.
In a post on his platform Truth Social, Trump said US forces had established control over the strategic waterway and proposed changing its name.
“Now that we have it under U.S.A. control, should we change the name Hormuz Strait to TRUMP STRAIT???” Trump wrote.
