Turkish warships approached ‘Israeli’ Navy vessels in the Mediterranean and designated maritime routes for them, according to sources cited by ‘Israel’s’ public broadcaster Kan News.

‘Israeli’ naval forces have also detected increased Turkish military activity in recent months, including naval exercises and displays of maritime power in the Mediterranean and surrounding shipping lanes.
Tensions between the two sides have risen following repeated criticism by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of ‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, including its war on the Gaza Strip and its impact on regional stability.
