In accompanying messages, Maduro wrote that he and his wife, Cilia Flores, remain “steadfast”, with hearts full of supporters’ love expressed through prayers, solidarity, and actions.
He thanked followers for their words, gestures, and blessings, quoted Romans 8:37 from the Bible about obtaining victory through divine love, and declared that “God will provide. Venezuela will be reborn.
Maduro and Flores have been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, since their capture by US forces in a military operation in Caracas on January 3 earlier this year.
They face federal charges including narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine importation, and weapons offenses.
Both have pleaded not guilty. Their trial is scheduled to begin in June 2027.
