British right-wing political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos, known for his vocal advocacy for aggressive US border crackdowns and mass expulsions, has been deported from the United States after being arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for overstaying his visa.
Yiannopoulos, 41, was arrested on Thursday, August 27, at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed his removal on Friday, stating that Yiannopoulos, whom the agency described as an "illegal alien from the United Kingdom", was sent back to his home country.
According to DHS statements, Yiannopoulos entered the US legally in May 2019 but subsequently "chose to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation's laws."
An immigration judge had issued a final order of removal in July after he failed to appear for an immigration hearing.
Reuters reported that he could not be reached for comment following his deportation to the UK.

The deportation marks a dramatic turn for the political provocateur, who made anti-immigrant rhetoric a central pillar of his public commentary.
Yiannopoulos routinely championed hardline immigration policies, previously cheering on ICE raids and demanding "total legal immunity for ICE agents when they're on duty."
In social media posts, he repeatedly called for extreme enforcement measures, writing in 2025 that the US must "deport millions and millions of people" and advocating for "on-the-spot deportation for anyone who can't prove they are in the US legally."
Despite his vocal support for strict border enforcement and mass removal campaigns, Yiannopoulos continued residing and working in the United States without legal status for years.
