According to the sources, Khamenei has delegated broad powers to a group of senior officials managing the government, while retaining final authority over major decisions.

Reuters said Khamenei’s absence from public appearances is linked to concerns over his safety. He is reportedly holding frequent meetings with senior figures, receiving key reports and making final decisions on important issues.

The agency reported that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has strengthened its influence since the start of the war and continues to play a central role in strategic planning within Iran’s leadership.

A senior Iranian official told Reuters that only a small number of officials maintain direct communication channels with Khamenei.

Iranian authorities have not disclosed his location or movements, citing security concerns and fears that leaked information could allow the United States to target him.

A person close to Khamenei’s inner circle said his health is "improving significantly" and that he remains actively involved in decision-making.
