The new financing package includes nearly $40 million to establish five technical and vocational schools in Amman, Mafraq, Jerash, and Irbid. The schools aim to strengthen vocational education, equip young people with job-ready skills, and meet local labor market needs.
The package also includes $70 million for two strategic natural gas projects serving Al-Rawda Industrial City in Ma’an and Al-Muwaqqar Industrial City. The projects are intended to reduce energy costs for national industries and improve their competitiveness.
Technical studies will also be conducted to assess supplying the King Hussein Development Area in Mafraq with natural gas.
The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development has provided Jordan with around $1 billion in financing over the past five years, including $300 million in new support for the Kingdom’s public budget.
The initiatives are expected to further strengthen economic cooperation between Jordan and the UAE and support sustainable development and shared economic interests.
