Netanyahu rejects Iran talks, backs US pressure

• Netanyahu says he doubts any deal with Iran is possible.
• He praised Trump’s intensified economic pressure on Tehran.

'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dismissed the possibility of reaching any diplomatic agreement with Iranian leadership, referring to officials in Tehran as "savages" while praising US President Donald Trump’s intensified campaign of economic sanctions. 

Speaking at an event late Tuesday. Netanyahu recounted a recent discussion with Trump regarding potential diplomatic avenues with Iran. "I doubt, however, that an agreement can be reached with that group there, with those savages," Netanyahu stated. "I tell you- an agreement cannot be reached." 

Netanyahu’s remarks follow Washington’s announcement of an expanded sanctions package targeting Iran's economy and trade.

Iran-‘Israel’ tensions

Netanyahu’s insistence on excluding diplomatic options coincides with ongoing military tensions across the region following months of direct military friction involving 'Israeli' forces, US military assets, and Iranian defensive infrastructure. 

Throughout recent regional escalations and strikes, 'Israeli' officials have consistently advocated for maximum economic asphyxiation and unilateral military action against Iranian infrastructure, rejecting international frameworks aimed at negotiated settlements. 

Iranian defense officials and state media maintain that Western economic pressure and military threats represent systemic aggression designed to undermine Iran's national sovereignty. 

Tehran has repeatedly affirmed that its military capabilities, including its short- and medium-range ballistic missile networks and asymmetric regional posture, serve strictly as deterrence against US and 'Israeli' operations in the Middle East.
