US President Donald Trump has repeated his claim that the United States is "winning" against Iran, while accusing Democrats of promoting what he called "fake polls" to discourage Republican voters.

In his latest Truth Social post, Trump said Democrats were conducting what he described as "demoralization operations" by publishing polls intended to weaken Republican support ahead of the US midterm elections.

"The Radical Left Democrats are going CRAZY with Fake Polls," Trump wrote, claiming that polls favorable to his administration were "tremendous."

Trump then linked his domestic political claims to the war with Iran, writing that the US was "winning against EVERYONE, including Iran," which he described as being in an "Economic and Military Death Spiral."

Trump's remarks came as his administration intensifies its economic pressure campaign against Tehran.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is expected to announce additional measures targeting Iran, with Washington warning companies and financial institutions that continue doing business with Tehran that they could face restrictions on access to the dollar-based financial system.

Trump has increasingly emphasized economic pressure as Washington seeks to force Tehran to accept US demands, including over Iran's nuclear program and the Strait of Hormuz.

The president has also repeatedly dismissed polls showing weak approval ratings, accusing pollsters and media organizations of presenting misleading figures.

His latest comments come as the 2026 midterm elections approach, with the war with Iran and its economic impact becoming increasingly important political issues in the United States.
