Fathi Zedan Khazem, 58, was killed early Friday during an 'Israeli' military raid at his residence in the West Bank city of Jenin.

The Palestinian General Authority for Civil Affairs notified the Ministry of Health of his death from gunshot wounds, adding that 'Israeli' forces held custody of his body following the raid.

According to allegations reported by Channel 12 and the 'Israeli' Forces, troops conducted an arrest raid targeting wanted individuals when Khazem allegedly brandished a knife and attempted to stab a soldier, posing an alleged threat to their lives before troops opened fire.

Family statements

Khazem's family presented a different account defying the whole 'Israeli' narrative by showcasing photo evidence of bloodstains all over the house after 'Israeli' forces shot Khazem and dragged his body out of the house before taking it into custody, stating that he was shot after refusing demands to bow down to soldiers during the raid.

Relatives proved that after he was shot, troops dragged his body, placed it into a military vehicle, and withdrew from the location.

Background on Khazem family

Fathi Khazem was the father of Raad Khazem, who carried out a deadly attack on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv on April 7, 2022, before being killed following a manhunt.

Fathi had subsequently been pursued by authorities after giving a public address outside his home.

He was also the father of Abdul Rahman Khazem, who was killed during an 'Israeli' raid in Jenin, and of Shaymaa Khazem, who is currently held in 'Israeli' custody.
