Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has pledged continued government support for the country’s armed forces, according to Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency.

Pezeshkian told his cabinet that the government would "spare no effort" within its authority to meet the needs of the armed forces and strengthen Iran’s defense capabilities, IRNA reported.

The Iranian president stressed the need for cooperation among all executive bodies to support the armed forces and enhance the country’s defense power.

His remarks come as Iran continues to prioritize its military capabilities and national defense following heightened regional tensions.
