The United Arab Emirates’ Defense Ministry says Iran launched two ballistic missiles toward the country, following an earlier missile threat alert issued by Emirati authorities.
The ministry said its air defenses detected the missiles, with the first falling outside the UAE’s territorial waters and the second falling within the country’s territorial waters.
“The Ministry of Defense confirms that it is on high alert and fully prepared to deal with any threats,” the ministry said in a statement published on X.
It added that UAE forces were prepared to confront anything it said could undermine the country’s security, sovereignty and stability, while protecting its interests and national capabilities.
