Approximately 80 cows wandered into an ‘Israeli’ military firing range on Monday, forcing the military to halt a training exercise by the Golani Brigade.

Two herds of cattle entered a live-fire training zone used by the Golani Brigade, disrupting and ultimately stopping the drill, ‘Israel’ police confirmed.

The incident occurred in a military area associated with the Golani Brigade near northern ‘Israel’.

The cattle—totaling about 80 head—were seized and transferred to quarantine facilities near Moshav Dor, along ‘Israel’s’ coast north of Caesarea.

Police said the problem of livestock entering military firing zones is not new and has repeatedly disrupted or forced the cancellation of military training exercises.

The herds are suspected of belonging to residents of the villages of Mu’awiya and Ein Ibrahim, near Umm al-Fahm, close to the training area.
