Ben-Gvir calls for killing “30-40 people” in Gaza every day

‘Israel’s’ National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has publicly Sunday called for targeted killings of 30 to 40 people in Gaza.

Ben-Gvir made the comments while speaking to former Gaza captive Rom Braslavski on the inaugural episode of Braslavski’s “October 8” podcast, published Saturday night.

Ben-Gvir voiced sharp disagreement with government policy.

“It’s no secret, I disagree with the prime minister,” Ben-Gvir said.

“I think targeted assassinations should be carried out in Gaza, taking down 30 to 40 every night. Not just those who pose an immediate threat — there are people there who are not worthy of life. They shouldn’t live. They’re not even people.”

In the same interview, Ben-Gvir advocated mass emigration of Palestinians from Gaza and Jewish resettlement of the territory.

“I see all of Gaza as ours,” he stated.

“Settlements not just in Gush Katif but throughout Gaza, encouraging as much emigration as possible, sending them to their countries, and for the terrorists, no emigration, nothing, just to kill them one by one.”

International lawyers have described such emigration proposals as potentially amounting to ethnic cleansing.

Ben-Gvir does not control the military and cannot order strikes, but as head of the national police and prison service he remains a highly influential figure in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition.

Similar past statements by Ben-Gvir and other officials have been cited at the International Court of Justice as evidence of genocidal intent, which ‘Israel’ denies.

The comments come amid a reported quiet reduction in Gaza strikes, seen as a concession to Trump after Netanyahu resisted aspects of the latest US truce proposal.

Authority for strikes has reportedly been restricted to the army chief of staff, angering hardliners.

Until recently, ‘Israeli’ attacks continued almost daily even after an October truce framework, with Gaza’s Health Ministry reporting more than 1,250 deaths in that period.
