US Ambassador to 'Israel' condemns settler's 'horrific terror' against Palestinians in West Bank

US Ambassador to 'Israel' Mike Huckabee stated Thursday that the US Embassy actively intervened with 'Israeli' authorities regarding the harassment of a Palestinian family in the West Bank village of Kusra.

Addressing allegations online regarding the US response to the incident, Huckabee publicly rejected claims of inaction and described those carrying out the harassment as "Israeli terrorists."

"This is another lie," Huckabee wrote on X. "The embassy has been VERY involved, and the Israeli military and Israel Police have gone at our request to remove the Israeli terrorists doing this."

"The actions of those doing this to this family’s home are criminal," Huckabee added. "The WH hasn’t 'intervened' because we have kept DC apprised of the situation already."

White House concerns

Huckabee’s statement follows reports from KAN News indicating that a senior White House official expressed concern that 'Israel' is not taking sufficient measures to curb West Bank settler violence.

According to the report, the official intends to raise the issue directly with the Prime Minister’s Office to query why the security establishment has been unable to control the situation.

The diplomatic statements follow an escalation in Kusra on Wednesday, where a group of Jewish extremists imposed a makeshift siege on Palestinian homes.

When 'Israeli' military forces and Border Police arrived to evacuate a nearby outpost and clear the extremists, clashes broke out. As of Wednesday evening, the extremists had not been removed from the village.

Bennett reacts to Huckabee's statement

Reacting to Huckabee's comments, former 'Israeli' Prime Minister Naftali Bennett spoke to 'Israel' Army Radio (Galei Tzahal), criticizing the reliance on foreign diplomatic pressure to handle internal security and extremism.

"Once again we allow other countries to manage us," Bennett stated in response to Huckabee's post. "This is an act of terrorism and must be condemned, rather than waiting for the Americans to tell us that we must do so."
