The military stated that troops were dispatched to Idna following a “confrontation” between ‘Israelis’ and Palestinians in the village.
“The incident and the conduct of the forces are under review,” the military said.
Palestinian sources, cited by Hebrew media including Ynet, reported that ‘Israeli’ residents of the West Bank attacked Palestinians in Idna, smashed a car window, and surrounded people praying inside a mosque.
The ‘Israeli’ military gave a different account, telling Hebrew outlets that soldiers responded after ‘Israeli’ residents reported Palestinians throwing rocks at a shepherd who had left one of his farms with his flock.
The incident occurred amid broader reports of unrest in the Hebron Hills area that day.
Earlier on Saturday, four Palestinians were wounded near Susya.
The Palestinian news agency Wafa said ‘Israeli’ settlers beat Palestinians there and fired shots into the air.
