Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has arrived in Turkey to complete the final stages of his transfer to Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor, after the club confirmed it had opened official negotiations with the player.

Trabzonspor announced that Salah landed at Istanbul Atatürk Airport's general aviation terminal on Wednesday before traveling to the Black Sea city of Trabzon, where he is expected to undergo a medical examination and finalize the paperwork for his move. The club said further details regarding his official presentation to supporters would be announced through its official channels.

Videos shared by the club showed the Egyptian star wearing Trabzonspor's iconic No. 61 shirt and greeting fans ahead of his arrival, with supporters gathering at the airport to welcome one of the biggest signings in the club's history.

Salah became a free agent after ending his nine-year spell at Liverpool at the conclusion of last season. During his time at Anfield, he scored 257 goals in 442 appearances, winning two Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup, and several individual awards.

The move is expected to be officially completed after the medical tests and contract signing, with Trabzonspor set to unveil the Egyptian international in a formal presentation later this week.
