‘Israeli’ soldier seriously wounded by stray bullet during training

An ‘Israeli’ military soldier undergoing basic training was seriously wounded by gunfire during a shooting exercise at a training base in the Jordan Valley on Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred amid routine live-fire training, according to reports by Hebrew media.

A preliminary inquiry has raised suspicion that the soldier was struck by an accidentally discharged round rather than deliberate fire.

The circumstances surrounding the weapon’s handling during the exercise remain under examination.

Medical personnel treated the injured soldier at the scene immediately after the shooting. He was subsequently evacuated to a hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.
