A newly built residential building suddenly collapsed onto a mosque in the village of Jasfa in Egypt's Dakahlia Governorate, with no deaths or injuries reported.

The incident occurred on Friday, immediately after Friday prayers, when large sections of the building, consisting of a ground floor and three upper stories, collapsed toward the nearby Mosque.

According to official information, the building had been completed only about three months earlier and had obtained all the required legal permits.

It was completely unoccupied at the time of the collapse, preventing any casualties.

The damage was limited to minor impacts on the adjacent mosque, including damage to its ablution and restroom facilities. Authorities confirmed that the mosque's main structure was not affected and remains structurally safe.

As part of the investigation, initial assessments suggest weak soil conditions may have been a contributing factor in the collapse.
