Lebanon reports ‘Israeli’ phosphorus attacks spark fires in south

• Lebanon's state news agency says ‘Israeli’ forces dropped phosphorus bombs on multiple areas in southern Lebanon, sparking large fires.
• The agency also reported missile strikes near Nabatieh and a drone attack in Tyre district.

Lebanon's official National News Agency (NNA) reported that ‘Israeli’ forces dropped phosphorus bombs on olive and pine groves in the towns of Yaroun and Arnoun, as well as the city of Bint Jbeil in the Nabatieh governorate.

According to the NNA, the attacks triggered large fires that spread through the affected agricultural and forested areas.

In separate incidents, the agency said ‘Israeli’ forces carried out two missile strikes on the Ali al-Taher hill near Nabatieh.

The NNA also reported that an ‘Israeli’ drone dropped a stun grenade in the town of Bayt al-Sayyad in the Tyre district.
