Yemen’s Prime Minister Shaya Mohsen al-Zindani accused the Houthi militia of carrying out an Iranian agenda through continued attacks on commercial vessels and threats to Red Sea maritime security.
In a post on X, al-Zindani claimed the attacks are endangering freedom of navigation, disrupting global supply chains and trade, and undermining United Nations efforts to support regional and international peace.
"The protection of freedom of navigation and maritime security is a collective responsibility," al-Zindani said, urging the international community to take stronger measures to deter Houthi actions and cut off sources of support.
Al-Zindani also said his government would continue coordinating closely with the Saudi-led coalition supporting Yemen’s internationally recognized government.
