  • Palestinians inspect the aftermath of 'Israeli' strikes in Gaza that killed 11 people, including a family of five, according to Gaza’s Civil Defence and medical officials.

At least 11 Palestinians, including three children and their parents, were killed in 'Israeli' strikes across the Gaza Strip, Gaza’s Civil Defence and a local hospital said.

'Israel' has continued carrying out air and artillery strikes in Gaza, where it controls more than 60% of the territory, according to Palestinian officials, causing further casualties and destruction amid a severe humanitarian crisis.

A family of five, including three children and their parents, was killed when an 'Israeli' strike hit an apartment in northwestern Gaza City, according to Gaza’s Civil Defence.

Civil Defence spokesperson Mahmoud Bassal told AFP that the family’s only survivor was a child who was outside the home at the time of the attack. Al-Shifa Hospital confirmed receiving the five bodies.

Residents said the strike came without warning. Gaza resident Mousa al-Amawi told AFP that “a missile suddenly hit the building” and that there had been no prior warning.

“They struck without caring that there were civilians, children, women and girls,” he said.

Another resident of the building, Mohammed Kali, said he saw several people lying on the ground after the strike.

“There were bodies scattered on the ground, women, children and elderly people were killed,” he said.

Elsewhere, three people were killed when an 'Israeli' airstrike hit a group of civilians in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighbourhood, according to Civil Defence. Al-Shifa Hospital confirmed receiving the bodies.

Hours later, Bassal said residents recovered the body of a woman after 'Israeli' artillery fire struck a tent sheltering displaced people east of Zeitoun. He said three people remained missing near the site.

Health officials also reported two additional deaths in another 'Israeli' strike, while the 'Israeli' military did not comment on the attacks.

Before the latest strikes, at least 1,144 Palestinians had been killed in Gaza since the ceasefire agreement was announced, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
