In a three-hour interview on The Joe Rogan Experience, Vice President JD Vance said that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein maintained significant connections to top intelligence agencies in both the United States and ‘Israel’.
“He clearly had connections to the upper, the highest levels, of American intelligence. He clearly had connections to the highest levels of Israeli intelligence,” Vance told host Joe Rogan.
Vance described himself as “one of the O.G. Epstein conspiracy theorists,” noting he had explored various theories surrounding the case.
When Rogan referenced common speculation linking Epstein to ‘Israel’s’ Mossad, Vance responded, “Yeah, Mossad or CIA or some other deep state.”
The vice president further speculated on the nature of Epstein’s Israeli ties, stating, “As much as I know, Prime Minister Netanyahu, not a particularly popular person in the United States of America right now, Epstein seemed to be connected to the elements of the Israeli deep state that were left of center.”
He added that Epstein had “much deeper connections to the Israeli left of center than right of center,”
These statements come amid ongoing public scrutiny of the Trump administration’s handling of Epstein-related documents.
Vance admitted the administration “absolutely screwed up the comms of the Epstein files,” attributing much of the mishandling to communications issues and overstated claims by then-Attorney General Pam Bondi.
“We did mishandle it, especially the communications of it,” Vance said. “I think that we should have just dropped everything at the very beginning. We should have just done it as quickly as possible.”
He insisted there was no malicious intent or cover-up, defending the eventual release of files while criticizing the 2008 plea deal as the “original sin” of the investigation.
Vance also touched on other aspects of the Epstein saga, including the financier’s long relationship with billionaire Les Wexner, suggesting Epstein may have engaged in questionable tax practices as a form of leverage.
He rejected notions that Trump was blackmailed, calling such ideas “crazy.”
