Jordan says air defences intercept three ballistic missiles fired from Iran
Jordan's armed forces said its air defence systems intercepted and shot down three ballistic missiles that entered the kingdom's airspace from Iran early on Wednesday.
A military source at the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army General Command said the interceptions were carried out as part of operational and defensive measures to protect the country's borders, airspace and the safety of its citizens.
The source said the incident caused no casualties or material damage.
Royal Engineering Corps teams were deployed to deal with missile debris that fell in several locations, securing the sites and taking the necessary safety measures to protect people and property.
The military stressed that Jordan rejects any violation of its sovereignty or the use of its airspace in a way that threatens its security and stability, adding that it continues to monitor the country's skies with the highest level of readiness.
It said the armed forces would respond to any future breach or threat to Jordanian airspace in accordance with its rules of engagement and would take all necessary measures to safeguard the kingdom's sovereignty and national security.
The military also urged the public to rely on official statements and avoid spreading unverified information or rumours.
Iran Guards say targeted US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain: state media
Iran's Revolutionary Guards said they struck facilities used by the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, state television reported Wednesday, after US strikes on Iranian territory.
"The NSI Management Center, Command and Control Center, Major Military Parts and Equipment Warehouses, and Fuel Storage Facilities of the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain Were Crushed," the Guards said in a statement carried by state television IRIB.

Trump threatens to hit Iran power plants next week if no deal
President Donald Trump told Fox News on Tuesday he would expand US strikes on Iran next week to target power plants and bridges if Tehran does not make a deal.
"Next week it gets really bad for them because next week comes the power plants. Next week comes the bridges," Trump said in an interview with the US broadcaster.
"We're going to knock out all their power plants. We're going to knock out all their bridges unless they get to the table and negotiate."
Explosions reported across several areas of Iran
Iran's Tasnim news agency reported that US forces targeted the islands of Qeshm and Hengam, as well as the city of Bandar Abbas in Iran's southern Hormozgan province, a short while ago.
Fars news agency said explosions were reported in the cities of Bampur and Chabahar in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.
Mehr news agency also reported that air defence systems were activated around the Bushehr nuclear power plant in southern Iran.
Meanwhile, the official IRNA news agency said an explosion was heard on Hengam Island in southern Iran.
Explosions reported in Iran's Chabahar and Bampur, state media says
Several explosions have been reported in the southern Iranian cities of Chabahar and Bampur, according to Iran's Fars news agency.
The agency said the exact locations of the blasts were not immediately known, and no further details on the cause or possible casualties were available.
