  • Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi says there will be no normalisation with 'Israel' until occupation of Palestinian territory ends.
  • He calls for a comprehensive peace agreement as the only path to regional stability.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has said there can be no lasting normalisation of relations with 'Israel' until what he described as the occupation of Palestinian territory comes to an end.

Speaking in a public address, el-Sisi stressed that peace in the region depends on what he called a “just settlement” that restores rights and ends ongoing conflict dynamics.

“No lasting peace without justice”

“There will be no lasting peace, no true stability and no popular normalisation except with a just peace that ends the occupation, puts an end to injustice and aggression, restores rights to their rightful owners and provides security for all,” he said.

The Egyptian leader linked regional stability to a comprehensive agreement between 'Israel' and the Palestinians.

El-Sisi said a sustainable solution must come through a broader political framework addressing long-standing disputes.

He added that a just peace would allow people across the region to live in stability and prosperity.

El-Sisi also referred to a Gaza ceasefire that took effect in October 2025, calling for continued international support to maintain it.

He said more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed by 'Israel' since the ceasefire began, without providing additional details.

Egypt, which signed a peace treaty with 'Israel' in 1979, remains a key mediator in regional diplomacy while maintaining its position that full normalisation is tied to a final political settlement.
