Gaza's Hamas-affiliated "Resistance Security" announced the execution of a Palestinian man identified only by the initials "M.M." on charges of collaborating with ‘Israeli’ intelligence.
According to the statement, M.M., reportedly 47 years old, was convicted after "all revolutionary procedures" were completed.
Hamas authorities accused him of providing intelligence that facilitated multiple ‘Israeli’ strikes, resulting in Palestinian deaths, including senior resistance figures.
The case is linked to the assassination of Izz al-Din al-Haddad, a prominent Hamas commander and former head of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades.
Al-Haddad was killed in an ‘Israeli’ airstrike on May 15 in Gaza City's Rimal neighborhood, which also claimed the lives of several civilians, including members of his family.
Hamas says that M.M. played a role in enabling this and other targeted operations.
This incident occurs against the backdrop of a fragile ceasefire established in October 2025. Despite the pause in major hostilities, Hamas has conducted security campaigns to reassert control in Gaza, targeting collaborators, looters, and rival factions.
