Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu said two more vessels have safely passed through the Strait of Hormuz and left the Gulf, as Ankara continues to monitor maritime movements in the area.

Writing on X, Uraloglu said Turkey is tracking developments in the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf “moment by moment” and remains in constant contact with ships and Turkish nationals in the region.

He added that with the latest departures on June 21, the number of Turkish-owned vessels that have safely exited the Gulf since the beginning of the US-Iran war in February has risen to 11.

Uraloglu said seven ships are still operating in the region, with 177 Turkish citizens on board. He also confirmed that one of the vessels sails under the Turkish flag.
