The Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, conducted a phone call with US President Donald Trump to review the latest updates and pressing developments unfolding in the region.

According to an official statement from the Amiri Diwan, the conversation centered on regional and international endeavors aimed at stabilizing the current calm and lowering escalations.

In particular, both leaders emphasized their backing of the ongoing diplomatic efforts led by Pakistan, which aim to shield the region from further tension while safeguarding international peace and security.

Maritime safety, global supply chains

The call also addressed the critical need to sustain active channels of dialogue to resolve current regional issues.

The Amir and the US President underscored the vital importance of protecting the security of maritime navigation, ensuring the safety of strategic waterways, and guaranteeing the smooth, uninterrupted flow of global trade and energy supply chains.
