The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) documented 2,420 reports of sexual misconduct in military-related circumstances during 2025, according to data presented to the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

The figures were disclosed in line with legislation enacted the previous year mandating annual reporting on sexual harassment by the IOF, ‘Israeli’ Police, and the ‘Israel’ Prison Service.

Brig. Gen. Rozital Aviv, the IOF Chief of Staff’s gender affairs adviser, provided the statistics during the committee session.

The reports encompassed a wide spectrum of incidents, ranging from verbal harassment to severe physical assaults.

Notably, 71 percent of the cases were assessed as falling below the criminal threshold, indicating many involved non-criminal but inappropriate conduct.

While the reported figures demonstrate a big scale of the issue, military authorities say they maintain policies of zero tolerance toward sexual misconduct.

This disclosure contributes to broader national conversations on sexual harassment within ‘Israeli’ institutions.
