  • Iran’s Foreign Ministry condemns 'Israel' over killing of Hamas Qassam Brigades leader Izz al-Din al-Haddad in Gaza.
  • Hamas says the strike killed at least seven people, including martyrs among civilians.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has condemned what it described as the assassination of Hamas’s Qassam Brigades leader Izz al-Din al-Haddad by 'Israel', calling the attack a “terrorist act”.

The statement came after reports that 'Israel' carried out a strike in Gaza City’s Remal neighbourhood on Friday, targeting a vehicle and a residential building.

According to Hamas, al-Haddad was killed in the operation alongside civilians, including his wife and daughter, who are among the martyrs reported in the attack. At least seven people were killed and dozens more were injured, according to the same account.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry said the strikes reflect what it described as “desperation” and ongoing violations in Gaza, adding that such operations would not weaken Palestinian resistance.

Hamas confirmed al-Haddad’s killing, saying he was targeted while in a civilian area that was struck during the air operation.

The incident comes amid continuing military escalation in Gaza, with repeated strikes reported in populated areas and growing international criticism over civilian casualties.

The developments further intensify regional tensions as diplomatic efforts to contain the conflict remain stalled.
