A masked ‘Israeli’ settler was captured on video repeatedly clubbing a tied-up guard dog named Lucy during a raid on the Palestinian village of Atara, north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank on Friday.

The footage shows the assailant striking the dog, owned by a local Palestinian family, multiple times with a club or stick while the animal was restrained and posed no threat.

The owner reported being unable to intervene, as ‘Israeli’ soldiers had ordered residents to remain inside their homes during the raid.

Despite severe injuries, Lucy survived the assault. The family rushed the dog past military checkpoints for urgent veterinary care, where she received treatment and was later shown recovering in clinic photos shared widely on social media.

‘Israeli’ police claimed to have launched an investigation into the incident, describing it as a “brutal attack,” though no arrests have been reported.
