A video capturing an attempt to harass real estate developer Mohamed Hadid at a restaurant in Los Angeles has gone viral, highlighting a stark contrast between a diner’s provocations and Hadid’s refusal to engage.

The footage, filmed and uploaded by a woman sitting at a neighboring table, shows Hadid - the father of supermodels Bella and Gigi Hadid- trying to enjoy a meal while the woman filmng him sings "Eretz Yisrael Sheli" (My Land of 'Israel') at high volume.

Calculated Harassment

The woman’s intent was not a random performance; a Hebrew text overlay on the video explicitly details a plan to annoy and provoke Hadid. The caption states:

"POV: When you are sitting in a restaurant in Los Angeles and at the table next to you sits the father of Bella and Gigi Hadid... and throughout the entire meal you hum Land of Israel songs to him until he loses his nerve and leaves."

The woman chose a patriotic song typically taught to 'Israeli' children, with lyrics that pointedly emphasize Jewish settlement and alleged ownership of the land. Throughout the clip, she can be heard singing lines such as, "I built a house in the Land of Israel" and "We have a land and we have a home."

The "No-Reaction" Reaction

Despite the woman’s stated goal of causing Hadid to "lose his nerve" or flee the premises, the video shows a different outcome. Hadid, a Palestinian-American who has often spoken out about his family’s history of displacement, consistently ignored the provocation.

While the woman sang and filmed him from just a few feet away, Hadid remained focused on his food and his dining companion. He did not look at the camera or acknowledge the singing, effectively neutralizing the attempt to disrupt his evening or incite a scene.

Social Media Backfire

While the uploader shared the video as a form of political "victory," the reaction online has been largely critical of her behavior. Many social media users have labeled the act as "childish," arguing that targeting an individual during a private meal for social media clout is a form of harassment.
