‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cast doubt on the stability of the Iranian leadership and the standing of its new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, during an interview with 60 Minutes.
When questioned about the physical condition and operational influence of the current leader, Netanyahu suggested that Mojtaba Khamenei is largely isolated.
"I think he is alive. What his condition is, it's hard to say... he's holed up in some bunker, or in some secret place," Netanyahu said.
Netanyahu said that while Mojtaba is "trying to exert his authority," he lacks the historical weight and command of his father.
“That's also creating the disruptions in that regime, and I don't think that's a bad thing,” Netanyahu added.
Mojtaba Khamenei did not appear in public since he was chosen as the new Supreme Leader of Iran, after his father was assassinated in the opening wave of the ‘Israeli’-US strikes on the Islamic Republic on February 28.
