A staffing company has paid tens of thousands of shekels to a former employee at the residence of ‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as part of a confidential settlement, following claims that the premier’s wife Sara threw tomatoes and olives at her during an incident at the official residence.

The employee, identified only as “S.” in reports, worked for approximately two years through a contracting firm providing services to the Prime Minister’s Office.

In a lawsuit filed several months ago with the Jerusalem Labor Court, she accused Sara Netanyahu of humiliating and abusive conduct on multiple occasions.

According to the complaint, during one incident, Sara Netanyahu expressed dissatisfaction with the quantity of onions, tomatoes, and olives in a breakfast tray.

The employee alleged that Sara threw pieces of tomato and olives at her in the presence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, staining her clothing.

The employee further claimed that Netanyahu shouted accusations, including that she did not like the couple and was attempting to harm them.

The plaintiff described additional instances of alleged mistreatment, including a complaint about a hair found in food and subsequent instructions that distanced her from direct contact with the Prime Minister. She reported feeling humiliated and distressed by the events.

Last week, the parties reached a confidential out-of-court settlement. Under the agreement, the staffing company agreed to pay the employee a sum in the tens of thousands of shekels in exchange for withdrawal of the lawsuit.

The employee was ultimately dismissed by the contracting company, which cited dissatisfaction with her performance, according to YNET.

In response to the original allegations, the Prime Minister’s Office stated that the worker was employed by a contractor and had no direct connection to Sara Netanyahu or the official residence.

Officials described the claims as “complete fabrications” and “absolute lies,” saying that the employee’s termination was based solely on professional considerations related to her performance.

Sara Netanyahu’s office similarly rejected the accusations as “complete lies” and “fabricated stories,” denying any contact between her and the contract worker; claiming this was aimed at defaming her for financial gain.

This case is not the first involving allegations of mistreatment of staff at the Prime Minister’s Residence.

Approximately one year ago, Sara Netanyahu testified in a separate labor court case concerning claims by a former employee.
