Jordan on Thursday condemned Iran’s ballistic missile and drone attacks on the United Arab Emirates, which resulted in the injury of three people,

The Kingdom “reaffirmed its rejection and denunciation of the attacks, which constitute a blatant violation of the UAE’s sovereignty and a threat to its security, stability, and territorial integrity,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The UAE said earlier on Friday that attacks wounded three people, hours after announcing it had intercepted Iranian missiles and drones, following exchanges of fire between Washington and Tehran that threaten the fragile truce in the Middle East war.

The UAE Ministry of Defense said Friday morning that air defenses had responded “to missile and drone attacks coming from Iran.”

In a later separate statement, the ministry said the attacks were carried out using “two ballistic missiles and three drones launched from Iran, resulting in three moderate injuries.”

The UAE was also targeted on Monday and Tuesday in attacks it likewise attributed to Iran, which left three people injured in a strike on an oil facility in the Emirate of Fujairah.
