Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday strongly condemned missile and drone attacks launched from Iran against infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), including a strike that sparked a fire at a major oil facility in Fujairah.
In a statement posted on X, Sharif expressed Pakistan’s full solidarity with the UAE.
“Pakistan strongly condemns the missile and drone attacks on civilian infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates last night,” Sharif wrote.
“Pakistan stands firmly with our Emirati brothers and sisters as well as with the Government of the United Arab Emirates at this difficult time.”
The statement did not directly mention Iran.

The attacks occurred on Monday evening. UAE authorities reported that air defense systems intercepted multiple Iranian missiles and drones, but one drone struck the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone, causing a fire. Three Indian nationals were moderately injured and hospitalized.
UAE officials said the country’s defenses engaged ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles originating from Iran.
Iranian state media, citing a senior military official, denied that Tehran had planned to target the UAE.
The incident comes amid heightened regional tensions following a fragile ceasefire agreement reached in April between Iran and the United States.
Pakistan played a key mediating role in those talks, with Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir engaging directly with US President Donald Trump and Iranian leaders to help secure the truce.
As of Tuesday morning, no further attacks had been reported.
