US Central Command (CENTCOM) issued a rebuttal on Monday to reports in Iranian state media claiming that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) successfully targeted a US Navy vessel with two missiles.

In a statement posted to X, CENTCOM dismissed the claim as false, clarifying that no US ships have been struck.

The military command emphasized that its forces remain fully operational in the region, focusing on two primary objectives: the execution of "Project Freedom" -a naval initiative to escort stranded commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz- and the continued enforcement of the naval blockade on Iranian ports.
