  • Zayn Malik’s family issued first public update after his hospitalisation, urging fans to donate to a Palestine-focused humanitarian project instead of sending flowers.
  • The singer missed multiple promotional events, with reports of a cardiology consultation amid an undisclosed illness.

Zayn Malik’s family has released their first public statement since the singer was hospitalised earlier this month, thanking fans for their support and asking them to redirect well-wishes into humanitarian donations.

The appeal comes as Malik continues to recover from an undisclosed illness that has disrupted his promotional schedule and raised concern among fans worldwide.

On April 29, Malik’s cousin Sasha Malik posted a message on Instagram acknowledging the overwhelming response from supporters.

“We're so grateful for everyone who has reached out to send bouquets,” she wrote. “Logistically, it just simply can't work, but we appreciate you all so much. Please donate anything you'd like on Zayn's behalf to The Palestine Project.”

The message was shared alongside a statement from the North West-based florist The Hidden Bouquet, which confirmed it could no longer process flower orders due to demand. It directed supporters toward The Palestine Project, a fundraiser supporting Islamic Relief initiatives providing food, clean water, shelter, and emergency medical aid to people affected by the war in Gaza.

The campaign originally aimed to raise £27,000 but has already surpassed its target after more than 800 donations, many including personal messages for Malik.

Malik was admitted to hospital earlier this month after what sources described as a mystery illness. He later shared a photo from his hospital bed, saying he was recovering after a long week.

Reports have suggested he may have consulted a cardiologist, although no official details about his condition have been confirmed.

The singer’s health issues forced him to cancel several commitments, including a fan event in London linked to his album Konnakol and a scheduled appearance on The Tonight Show. He was also due to perform a special One Night Only show in Kingston on April 13, which was called off.

The cancellations have raised questions about Malik’s upcoming schedule, particularly his planned world tour, which is expected to be his largest solo run to date.

The tour is set to begin in Manchester in May 2026, with dates across the United Kingdom followed by shows in Los Angeles, Mexico City, São Paulo, and other cities, before concluding in Miami in November.

Despite concerns over his health, fans continue to express support online, with many contributing to the humanitarian fundraiser instead of sending traditional gifts.

While interest in Malik’s condition remains high, his family and representatives have provided limited updates. The focus has instead shifted toward recovery and the continuation of the humanitarian campaign his family endorsed.
