  • At least six ‘Israel’ soldiers killed and 16 injured since the start of southern Lebanon battles.
  • Hezbollah carried out 40-43 attacks using rockets, drones, and guided missiles.
  • Multiple ‘Israel’ military bases, settlements, and tanks targeted.

Clashes in southern Lebanon on Monday have left dozens of ‘Israel’ soldiers dead and wounded, as Hezbollah launched a series of attacks targeting military positions, settlements, and tanks.

'Israeli' media reported multiple casualties following ambushes near the town of Nabatieh, while military censorship limited official details. Some sources indicate over 60 soldiers, including officers, were injured, many by guided missile strikes on Merkava tanks.

A soldier was reportedly evacuated to a Tel Aviv hospital in serious condition, with others sustaining moderate injuries from drone and rocket attacks.

Hezbollah strikes intensify

Hezbollah said it conducted 40-43 operations Monday, hitting settlements in northern ‘Israel’ including Metula, Doviv, Kiryat Shmona, Yiron, and Nahariya. Military sites targeted included Shomera barracks, Mishmar HaCarmel base, Haifa naval base, and Glilot (home to Unit 8200), using rockets, drones, and specialized missiles.

Southern Lebanon also saw repeated attacks on Israeli positions in Al-Adaisseh, Deir Sreian, and Ainata, including strikes on tanks, troop gatherings, and radar posts. The operations reportedly caused direct casualties and material damage.

Escalation and 'Israeli' response

Since March 2, Hezbollah has intensified its response to what it calls ongoing Israeli aggression in Lebanon and regional escalations involving Iran. 'Israel', in turn, has conducted airstrikes on southern Beirut suburbs and southern and eastern Lebanese regions, and carried out limited ground incursions.

'Israeli' authorities confirmed six deaths and 16 injuries among their forces since the fighting began, while local media reported higher figures, including critical injuries. Plans are reportedly underway to demolish homes along the border’s “front line” and prevent civilians from returning.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly rejected US-Iran talks as a basis to halt fighting, insisting Israel would continue operations against Hezbollah and seek to push its forces beyond the Litani River.

Civilian toll

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced Monday that casualties from ongoing Israeli attacks since March 2 reached 1,247 dead and 3,680 wounded, highlighting the conflict’s growing humanitarian toll.
