Ugandan army chief General Muhoozi Kainerugaba said that his military is ready to intervene militarily on ‘Israel's’ behalf amid the war with Iran.

“We want the war in the Middle East to end now. The world is tired of it. But any talk of destroying or defeating Israel will bring us into the war. On the side of Israel!” Gen. Kainerugaba wrote.

Gen. Kainerugaba’s remarks reflect a longstanding personal affinity for ‘Israel’.

In February 2026, he announced plans to erect a statue at Entebbe commemorating Yoni Netanyahu, brother of prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and an ‘Israeli’ commando killed in operation at Entebbe Airport in 1976.

In additional deleted posts, the general claimed Ugandan forces could capture Tehran within 72 hours without extensive bombing and offered direct assistance to both ‘Israel’ and the United States.

"We could have captured Tehran in 72 hours without any bombing," he claimed, according to The Jerusalem Post, "but of course they never listen to a black man. Why bomb people who support you?"
