  • Jordan reports 85 Iranian missiles and drones targeted its territory in week two of the war.
  • Nine civilians sustained moderate injuries from debris and fragments, all discharged after treatment.

The Jordanian Armed Forces and Public Security Directorate issued a joint statement on Saturday detailing the impact of the Mideast war on the kingdom during the second week.

According to the Jordanian military’s media directorate, 85 missiles and drones were launched directly from Iran toward Jordan, targeting “vital sites”.

The Royal Jordanian Air Force intercepted 79 of the incoming missiles and drones, while five drones and one missile landed inside Jordanian territory.

“The Jordanian Armed Forces remain committed to defending the homeland and protecting citizens from all forms of aggression,” the statement said, adding that all available resources continue to be deployed to maintain national security.

The Public Security Directorate reported that civil defense and police personnel responded to 93 incidents involving falling debris and fragments across several governorates across Jordan last week.

Nine people sustained moderate injuries during these incidents. All were treated and discharged from hospital in stable conditionز
