Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reiterated that his country’s nuclear program “has no military solution,” stressing that attacks can damage facilities but cannot erase the technology or knowledge developed by Iranian scientists.
Speaking to the press, Araghchi called the nuclear achievements “authentic accomplishments” that cannot be destroyed through bombing.
Knowledge survives despite past attacks
Araghchi acknowledged that Iran’s nuclear sites suffered significant damage during previous confrontations, particularly in June 2025 during the 12-day conflict with ‘Israel’ and the United States. However, he said the rapid reconstruction demonstrates that “the scientists remain and the technology endures,” and warned that relying on force will not compel Tehran to comply with external demands.
He added that what adversaries failed to achieve through war will not be gained at the negotiating table and cautioned that any new hostile actions would be met with a “strong and crushing response.”
Diplomatic pressure amid US warnings
Araghchi’s statements come amid heightened tensions in the region, with large-scale US military mobilization and threats from Washington to impose deadlines or additional measures if an agreement on limiting enrichment in exchange for sanctions relief is not reached.
While emphasizing that diplomacy is the “only solution,” Araghchi insisted it must be based on mutual respect rather than military coercion.
