  • Former Netanyahu security chief Ami Dror accuses Sara Netanyahu of stealing gifts and hotel towels.
  • Dror claims Sara wielded growing influence in the household, blocking plea deals to maintain power.

Ami Dror, the former head of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s personal security team, has accused Sara Netanyahu of repeatedly stealing items from hotels during official stays.

Speaking on a podcast with Maariv, Dror claimed he personally witnessed gifts and hotel towels disappearing while accompanying the Netanyahu family. He noted that such gifts legally belong to the state, not to the prime minister’s family.

“I’ve said it before and I stand by it. Sara Netanyahu is a kleptomaniac,” Dror said, adding that hotel staff would later question the security team about missing items after the family had departed.

Dror, who now identifies as a protest leader against the government’s judicial overhaul, also described Sara Netanyahu as a central figure of influence within the household in recent years. He alleged that she played a decisive role in blocking a potential plea deal involving the prime minister, motivated by a desire to maintain power.

According to Dror, Prime Minister Netanyahu elevated his wife’s public profile over time, attempting to position her as a political figure. “He tried to turn her into Hillary Clinton. She’s not Hillary Clinton,” he said.

The Netanyahu family has not responded publicly to the allegations. The Prime Minister’s Office did not issue an immediate comment.

Sara Netanyahu has previously faced public scrutiny and legal cases related to the misuse of state funds, though she has denied wrongdoing. The latest claims add to longstanding controversy surrounding the prime minister’s family in ‘Israel’.
