Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, held a phone call on Tuesday with US Ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Waltz, to discuss the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and ways to ensure the continued flow of humanitarian aid.

The officials focused on efforts to maintain a ceasefire and the full implementation of the peace plan proposed by US President Donald Trump to end the conflict, alongside adherence to UN Security Council Resolution 2803.

Safadi reaffirmed Jordan’s consistent stance on the need for a genuine political horizon that ensures lasting stability and alleviates humanitarian suffering.

Both sides also highlighted the strength of the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States, emphasizing ongoing coordination and joint efforts to advance shared interests and regional peace and security.
