  • Hezbollah vows it will not remain neutral if Iran is attacked.
  • Secretary-General Naim Qassem frames threats to Iran as threats to regional stability and the group itself.

Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem warned that any military action against Iran could trigger a wider regional conflict and stressed that his group would not remain neutral in such a scenario.

Speaking at two large rallies under the banner of solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran, held at the Sayyid al-Shuhada complex in southern Beirut and the Husseini Club in Nabatieh, Qassem praised Iran’s support over the past 43 years, calling it essential for the “legitimacy of liberating the land.”

Qassem said that if the United States or Israel launched an aggression against Iran, Hezbollah would respond “in proportion to the circumstances” and stressed that the group would not stand aside. He noted that envoys had inquired whether Hezbollah would intervene first in Lebanon or Iran to clarify potential 'Israeli' strategies.

He described US President Donald Trump’s threats against Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei as targeting not only the Iranian leader but also tens of millions of his followers and Hezbollah itself. “Any attack on Khamenei is an attack on regional and global stability,” Qassem said, adding that Hezbollah is committed to countering such threats by all available means.

Qassem reaffirmed the group’s allegiance to Khamenei, calling him “the leader responsible during the occultation of Imam al-Mahdi and the deputy of the infallible Imam.” He also highlighted the significance of the 1979 Iranian Revolution, stating that the Islamic Republic’s existence and independence remain a “major challenge to the United States and 'Israel'.”
