  • 'Israeli' Prime Minister Netanyahu rejects US-led Gaza executive committee as uncoordinated.
  • Washington forms technocratic body with Arab and international officials to manage Gaza reconstruction.

'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sharply criticized President Donald Trump’s decision to establish the “Gaza Executive Committee,” saying it was made without coordination and contradicts 'Israeli' policy.

Netanyahu’s office said he instructed Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar to urgently discuss the matter with US counterpart Marco Rubio. Analysts say the unusually direct statement signals a growing rift between Washington and Tel Aviv over Gaza’s future and the management of the next phase of the ceasefire.

US forms technocratic committee

The United States announced the formation of a technocratic government and executive council including high-profile Arab and international figures. Members reportedly include Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Qatari official Ali Al-Dawoodi, and Egyptian intelligence chief Hassan Rashad.

The committee’s role is to support administrative and economic measures in Gaza while linking reconstruction efforts to political oversight under US supervision, according to Washington.

Sources in 'Israel' suggest Tel Aviv is concerned about the presence of regional actors such as Turkey and Qatar, which have historically supported resistance groups in Gaza.

Trump’s peace plan

On Thursday, Trump unveiled the “Peace Council”, formally entering the second phase of the ceasefire agreement between 'Israel' and Hamas. The White House confirmed the formation of the Gaza Executive Council Friday as part of the transition.

The Trump plan, consisting of 20 articles, was endorsed by the UN Security Council in Resolution 2803 on November 17, 2025. The second phase is structured around three entities: the Peace Council, a Palestinian technocratic committee, and an international stabilization force.
