22 hours ago|- Venezuela’s interim president says her government will confront U.S. “aggression” through diplomacy and pursue talks to restore ties after the abduction of Nicolás Maduro.
Venezuela's interim president said Friday her country would tackle US "aggression" through diplomacy, as her government announced steps to restore ties with Washington following its abduction of her predecessor.
Delcy Rodriguez said in a statement that she had discussed "the serious, criminal, illegal and illegitimate attack" by US forces that seized Nicolas Maduro on January 3, in an online meeting with leaders from Brazil, Colombia and Spain.
"I reiterated that Venezuela will continue to confront this aggression through the diplomatic route," she said.
