Trump says doubts 'NATO would be there for us if we really needed them'

US President Donald Trump said Wednesday he doubted "NATO would be there for us if we really needed them," slamming the transatlantic security alliance in a post on his Truth Social platform.

"We will always be there for NATO, even if they won't be there for us," he wrote, a day after the White House said it was not ruling out military intervention to acquire Greenland from NATO ally Denmark.
